At Tideworks, we’ve started off the fall season in full swing preparing for go-lives, upgrades, attending and exhibiting at tradeshows, planning for 2017 and much, much more. But we still have time for some fun – take a look!
A group of Tideworks employees planned a multi-cultural potluck for the office, to celebrate all the different cultural backgrounds that make up our team. We enjoyed eats from all over the world and had hardly a crumb left to show for it (that’s not unusual – we love our food!).
Next a few Tideworks representatives jetted off to Cancun for the 2016 TOC Americas. Tideworks exhibited at the conference which was held in Mexico for the first time in 10 years. There were many fantastic speakers at the conference sessions including some of our colleagues John Bressi general manager at Tuxpan Port Terminal, Juan Carlos Croston vice president of marketing and corporate affairs at Manzanillo International Terminal and Iker Allison vice president of marketing at SSA Mexico. Of course, it would not have been a trip to Mexico without a tequila tasting from the resident tequila expert at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun, Eduardo Urbina!
Some other Tideworks employees got to take advantage of a job shadowing program over at Terminal 18, across the street from the Tideworks Seattle HQ. Typically, a two-day program, allows participants to shadow various operations roles at the terminal including those in vessel, yard and gate operations. It’s a great opportunity for folks to see what a day is like on a terminal and what challenges may arise on a daily basis, and it’s a real treat to spend time with the terminal employees.
We’ll keep you posted on what we’re up to in the coming months, so stay tuned! Meanwhile, check out our open positions.
Great post. Love the pics. Where’s your buddy Eduardo?
