As our organization continues to evolve from its origin as a small IT service provider to a global software development company serving more than 300,000 logistics professionals worldwide, we’ve never lost sight of our roots, our people and who we are. In the words of Tom Van Buskirk, Tideworks’ vice president of product engineering, “In an industry that is rapidly evolving day by day, it is not enough for us to merely react to new market demands and changes, we have to be proactively leading and innovating alongside with our customers and team members.” Our employees are challenged to be their best because of the dynamic and complex nature of their work, and it’s the support of the Tideworks team that helps to inspire and motivate them.
Tideworks has more than 280 team members in five countries, and 70 percent of them have been with the company more than five years. Our IT project manager, Michelle Evans, attributes this employee loyalty to the strong sense of value that employees feel they deliver. “Being able to feel as though you make a real impact is why people stay,” she explained.
Each engineer, business systems analyst, project manager, and customer service specialist all contribute something invaluable to our team. We strongly believe our company’s success and growth over its nearly 20-year lifetime is possible because of our diverse and collaborative culture.
