How long will it take to upgrade?
It depends. The analysis starts with a customer User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environment where customers can become familiar with the new system and identify any gaps.
How much will it cost to upgrade?
We recommend connecting with your Customer Success Manager (CSM). Your CSM will have details regarding any costs as we move forward. There may be additional costs for hosted customers due to changing hardware requirements. Your CSM will work with you on all your migration planning and conversion readiness.
How much downtime will there be at my terminal while I’m upgrading?
The actual upgrade itself is no different than a major Mainsail upgrade in the past. We will require a full weekend to complete the go-live.
Is there a “deadline” to upgrade?
Tideworks doesn’t impose a deadline, however, Mainsail Classic and Mainsail Vanguard rely on very old technologies, which are being phased out by the industry. You should review this internally to come up with a timeline that satisfies your company’s security and business continuity requirements.
Will the data on my current TOS be saved and transferred over?
Yes, all your existing data will be transferred over to Mainsail 10 to ensure there is no disruption to your business operation. Please note, a billing and cargo conversion is required to fit your existing data into the new data model.
Will I have to reestablish all the same integrations I’ve built into my current TOS?
It depends. Please engage your account manager to detail all your current integrations.
Do I need any additional hardware for MS10?
Most likely, you do, unless you are overprovisioned today. Mainsail 10 will require more VMs to host various services. We have a server requirement sheet as a guideline for you to start reviewing your infrastructure. Please reach out to your CSM for more details.
What browsers will Mainsail 10 support?
To take advantage of the latest browser features, while at the same time, preventing security vulnerabilities, Mainsail 10 will only support the following browsers and versions:
